Nursing Knowledge Test Bavaria

Target
The purpose of the examination is to determine the professional language and professional knowledge required for practicing the nursing profession in Germany.
Content and duration
The nursing knowledge test in Bavaria consists of two parts:
Examination part 1
Oral examination / Duration: 45 – 60 minutes
You will be given a case presentation describing the personal, social and structural conditions of a person in need of care and their environment. Based on this case, you will answer questions and discuss possible solutions.
Exam part 2
Practical examination / Duration: 120 – 240 minutes
You will plan and carry out care measures that correspond to the areas previously defined in the deficit assessment. You will then reflect on your actions and answer questions from the examiners.
The duration of the practical examination depends on the deficits previously identified.

- Independent care planning for the patients to be cared for
- Focused clinical pictures, e.g. diabetes mellitus, stroke, breast cancer, bowel cancer, Parkinson's disease, heart attack, heart failure
Examination board, result, repetition, certificate
The FIA is approved by the State Office for Nursing as a comparable institution for taking the knowledge test. It will conduct the test in accordance with the established guidelines and ensure that all necessary requirements for the recognition of foreign nursing qualifications are met.
If you pass the examination successfully, you will receive a certificate confirming your authorization to practice your profession in Germany. If you fail, you can repeat the examination once.

The exam is only organized for our participants, registration from outside is not possible.
