About the FIA Academy – education with quality

The shortage of healthcare professionals poses major challenges for the German healthcare system. At the same time, internationally qualified healthcare professionals are becoming increasingly important. To ensure their successful deployment in inpatient and outpatient care, targeted qualification programs and sustainable integration processes are essential.

The Freiburg International Academy GmbH (FIA) is an educational institution established in 2015 that specializes in qualifying and integrating international healthcare professionals into the German labor market. For over ten years, we have been providing targeted qualification programs for professionals in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing to support their professional recognition and entry into the German healthcare system.

The focus of FIA is on profession-specific language and specialist courses, qualification measures preparing for examinations, and accompanying support services that systematically combine professional, linguistic, and intercultural requirements. As a training provider certified under AZAV, we additionally advise and support international healthcare professionals with recognition procedures, the transition into the German labor market, and questions related to residence and integration. In close cooperation with healthcare facilities, authorities, and funding agencies, we create reliable structures for sustainable professional integration.
