Compact Course Preparation Pharmaceutical Language Test
Objective
This course prepares foreign pharmacists for the Pharmaceutical Language Test C1 to obtain the German medical license (Approbation).
Course contents
In classroom instruction, the relevant structures as well as the peculiarities of the professional competences in the field of communication and interaction will be explained (for example, patient consultation, case presentation, expert discussion, documentation). The pharmaceutical language skills will be taught with regard to the professional competencies and are practically trained using simulated patients.

Teachers
Instructors of the course are qualified teachers with appropriate degree and pedagogical aptitude.
As simulated patients, persons are employed who can appropriately present clinical cases, their symptoms and patient behavior in the context of the courses in a realistic manner.
Participation requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Recognized language certificate B2 (FIA, Telc, Goethe or ÖSD – confirmation of participation is not sufficient)
If you do not have a recognised language certificate, you can participate in a free placement test. The test is held online.
Examination
After completing the course, the professional language test C1 should be taken at the responsible licensing authority.
In the federal states of Hesse and Saarland, the Patient Communication Test (PKT) Pharmaceutical Terminology C1 of the FIA is currently recognized as a professional language test. It is up to the participants to take it off as an alternative. Here you can register for the PKT professional language pharmacy C1.
Certificate of attendance
After completing the course (with attendance at least 80%), the participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
Evaluation
For quality assurance, the course will be evaluated by the participants and the teachers.
