Course contents

In classroom instruction, the relevant structures as well as the peculiarities of the professional competences in the field of communication and interaction will be explained (for example, patient consultation, case presentation, expert discussion, documentation). The pharmaceutical language skills will be taught with regard to the professional competencies and are practically trained using simulated patients.

Teaching materials

The following textbooks are included in the course fees:

  • Das Kundengespräch in der Apotheke
  • FIA script

Teachers

Instructors of the course are qualified teachers with appropriate degree and pedagogical aptitude.

As simulated patients, persons are employed who can appropriately present clinical cases, their symptoms and patient behavior in the context of the courses in a realistic manner.

Participation requirements

  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • Recognized language certificate B2 (FIA, Telc, Goethe or ÖSD – confirmation of participation is not sufficient)

If your B2 certificate is older than 6 months, you must participate in a free placement test.

In the federal states of Hesse and Saarland, the Patient Communication Test (PKT) Pharmaceutical Terminology C1 of the FIA is currently recognized as a professional language test. It is up to the participants to take it off as an alternative. Here you can register for the PKT professional language pharmacy C1.
