Course funding by the IQ Network
Aim of the funding program "Integration through Qualification" (IQ) is to sustainably improve employment opportunities for adults with a migration background. Regional networks throughout the country work together with competence centers dedicated to migration-specific issues on this task.
With its training measures for health professionals FIA is represented in the IQ regional networks in Baden-Wurttemberg, Hessen and Lower Saxony. Funding is offered for preparation courses for the professional knowledge test.
Important Note: Funding from IQ is always subordinate. To receive IQ funding you need an education voucher rejection letter from the Employment Agency or Jobcenter. It must include the following:
- Reason for rejection
- Dated before course commencement
- Name of contact person
- Name of FIA advanced training course
- Employment Agency / Jobcenter address
Amount
IQ funding covers the entire course fees. Test fees are principally not included. Travel costs can be funded by the regional network in Lower-Saxony on a case-by-case basis.
- Education voucher rejection letter
- Valid visa/ resident permit for at least course duration (no Schengen-visa)
- Confirmation of registration (main residence must be in Baden-Wurttemberg at the latest by course commencement)
- Recognition letter (admission to professional language and professional knowledge test from the Regional Board Stuttgart (State Health Authority for Baden-Wurttemberg)
- On a case-by-case basis and given, that enough vacancies are available, recognition letters from other states may be accepted
- Education voucher rejection letter
- Valid visa/ resident permit, valid at least for course duration (no §16b student visa or §16f language acquisition visa)
- Confirmation of registration (main residence must be in Hessen at the latest by course commencement)
- Recognition letter or at least receipt from the Hessian State Examination and Safety Office for Healthcare (HLPUG, State Health Authority for Hessen)
- Education voucher rejection letter
- Valid visa/ resident permit, valid at least for course duration (§16f language acquisition visa is only accepted, if an appointment with the Immigration Authority for change of purpose to a §16d visa (previously §17a) for recognition of a foreign qualification exists)
- Confirmation of registration (main residence must be in Lower-Saxony at the latest by course commencement)
- Recognition letter or at least receipt from the Lower-Saxony Association for Medical Licensing (State Health Authority for Lower-Saxony)
Process
- FIA will inform you, if you qualify for funding from IQ. Your contact person will then let you know what proof you need to hand in.
- Send combined photocopies of the proof as a pdf to your contact person at FIA.
- FIA will submit the application for you with the IQ network responsible and inform you about the approval. Processing time approximately takes a week
